Shiseido Seasons: 「EYE I EYE Festival」

Within the Shiseido Art & Heritage Passage, the special exhibition series“Shiseido Seasons” exhibits materials from Shiseido’s archives themed around the four seasons.
“EYE I EYE Festival” begins on Tuesday, July 7.

In the 1980s, Shiseido Company envisioned summer as a stage where individuality came alive beneath the dazzling
sun. In 1983, the brand launched a campaign featuring the hit song Megumi no Hito, opening with the memorable line:
“♪ Inase da ne, natsu o tsurete kita hito…” (“How stylish—you’re the one who brings summer with you…”).
At its center was the eye—alive with inase: a distinctly Japanese sense of style, clarity, and spirited confidence. Before
words were spoken, the eyes were already telling a story of freedom.

Forty years on, a new, electrifying summer begins. Those who master the eyes, master the season. Inspired by the
enduring spirit of inase, eye makeup returns—sharper, bolder, more daring than ever. A celebration of self-expression,
where every glance becomes a statement.
