Shiseido Research Center's "fibona" Collaborates to Create Innovative Beauty Products:
New Designs of "Skin Accessories™" to Be Released
~ Launching on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 ~

From the beauty products created through Shiseido Research Center’s open innovation program “fibona※1,” which aims to co-create “what does not yet exist,” two new designs of “Skin Accessories™” will be released as limited- edition items on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. These products utilize “Second Skin” technology, which forms artificial skin on the surface to integrate with the skin and correct unevenness. The products will be available for purchase at the fibona lab located on the first floor of Shiseido Beauty Park.

◆ As accessories for the skin, they enable new forms of self-expression, evolving beyond traditional makeup.
◆ They are designed to be comfortable for long periods while also being easy to remove.
◆ Two types of accessory parts are available: unique metallic parts and holographic parts that stand out at events and on stage.
◆ They allow for easy transformation from simple to decorative styles, making them perfect for various occasions such as holiday events, festivals, and dance recitals.

Skin Accessories™ Utilizing Second Skin Technology

In 2018, Shiseido acquired the patented Second Skin technology from the U.S. venture company Olivo Laboratories and has since evolved its functionality by combining it with Shiseido’s expertise in formulation development※2.

Second Skin technology creates artificial skin on the surface that seamlessly integrates with the natural skin, correcting unevenness. It goes beyond the boundaries of conventional cosmetics, making it possible to quickly reduce the appearance of under-eye bags and sagging.

By applying the unique features of Second Skin technology, Shiseido has developed Skin Accessories™. These accessory parts adhere to the skin, enabling decorative and diverse expressions that go beyond traditional makeup. Thanks to their elasticity and adhesion, they deliver both durability and ease of removal, while their breathability ensures gentleness to the skin and comfortable use.
