Shiseido's open innovation program "fibona" started in July 2019. One of its activities is "Speedy Trial," which takes on the challenge of speedily introducing a beta version of a product to the market. Utilizing crowdfunding and other services, the program aims to speedily introduce to the market beta versions of products that take advantage of technologies created through our research. We are also communicating with more people from the early stages of development, aiming for innovation that is meaningful to many people.

In this activity, we’ve been promoting the "fibona Incubators Program" together with Makuake, Inc. from 2019, and as the first project, we developed a film-type supplement "Lämmin" in 2020.

In this second project, Shiseido researchers with unique research ideas have been working together with members of Shiseido Creative Co., Ltd. to develop them starting from the concept and to brush them up from the perspective of technology and the user experience to provide value to customers.

After internal proposals and mass production studies following the kick-off in 2020, the new project will finally be announced on Makuake on Thursday, July 21 at 12:00.

The development members possess various specialties and have enhanced their strengths and worked together as a team to tackle this project. Through communication with those who support the project, we hope to achieve innovation that is meaningful to many people. We look forward to your support.
