fibona aims to create new innovations through the coming together of Shiseido researchers and various people and knowledge from outside Shiseido. There are four activity plans: 1. Acceleration for co-creation with startup companies, 2. Co-creation through communication with consumers, 3. Challenging prototyping and beta version launches, 4. Creation of a culture of openness both inside and outside the company. Here is an introduction to our history.

Story

The Shiseido Global Innovation Center was established in Yokohama, Japan. In this new building, which is called an urban open laboratory, "fibona”, an initiative to create new innovations through contact with the outside world, has begun. We will not only pursue new knowledge through research as in the past, but also create unprecedented value in our existing cosmetics business and new beauty fields through the fusion of diverse knowledge and people, including consumers, cutting-edge research institutions in Japan and overseas, and people from different industries.
